The tau forces had pushed the space marines back beyond the last imperial guard outpost and had now cornered them in a mountain region, The Marines put up a strong defence pushing the tau back, As the battle suit commander ordered a fall back to take out the marines on high ground a land raider appeared on the horizon with more marine reinforcements slamming hard into the side of the tau forces. The Crisis commander ordered his stealth troops to sneak within the carnage and delay the tank from crushing the tau beneath its tracks but the space marine commander was wise and unleashed his crew of terminator's from within the tanks hull slaughtering the oncoming stealth suits, The Captain of the stealth team managing to jump suit out loosing an arm in the process landed hard on the ground several feet away from the oncoming tracks of the huge tank. With a last lurch forward the captain fired a desperation shot from his fusion blaster then slumped down dead, The shot hit the tracks of the tank and burst into the inner hull causing the land raider to become immobilised, But the space marines were far from finished. The Space Marine commander then ordered his several squads of assault marines to jumppack into the unsuspecting fire warriors towards the back of the tau's force, A good strategy as this would easily slaughter the melee helpless fire warrior's, They landed just short of the squad and charged to the firewarriors only to be ambushed nearby by a large pack of kroot waiting in hiding, With the assault squad slain the main friewarrior force moved to high ground and began there unstoppable assault on the space marines on lower ground, In the distance more devilfish troop carriers were arriving and the victory for the tau looked promising, Intill they heard an unspeakable noise and the ground shaking. On the Horizon a tide of body's moving towards the tau and space marine forces " Chaos? " a firewarrior asked?
" No....something much worse " Replied the Commander.
Something is on the horizon, And its Mad.
